50 yo male, extreme weakness


Patient Chart
EO is a 50-year-old male who presents to the emergency department with the chief complaint of extreme weakness that has worsened over the past three days and is now involving his upper extremities as well. Upon questioning, he states that he has had no major illnesses in the past, but did have what he thought was the flu last week. He is alert and oriented. Assessment reveals a moderately overweight middle-age male who is very anxious. His heart rate is 90, respiratory rate is 24, temperature is 98.5o F. SpO2 is 95% on room air. Auscultate and take blood pressure using the tabs above.
